Why Chromoly Beats Standard Steel for Suspension Links

Standard mild steel heim joints are fine for light-duty applications, but suspension and steering links see dynamic loads that are far higher than static ratings suggest — especially on rough terrain where impacts are sudden and directional. 4130 chromoly steel has a tensile strength roughly 30–40% higher than mild steel at the same weight, which means you get a stronger joint without adding mass to your unsprung weight. The PTFE liner eliminates the need for grease fittings and resists contamination from mud, water, and debris — critical for off-road builds where you can't always service your links after every run.
